Specialist Programs

STEM

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) lessons at our school are designed to inspire creativity and curiosity in students of all ages. From learning about cybersafety and exploring technology like iPads, Chromebooks, laptops, and 3D printers, to working with Beebot interactive robots, our students are introduced to the world of innovation. But STEM isn’t just about using technology—it’s about building and creating! Children will have fun building structures using Lego, Nüdel Kart, and even crafting their own rollercoasters out of paper. STEM lessons provide hands-on, exciting experiences that encourage problem-solving and teamwork, helping students develop skills for the future!

Visual Arts

The Visual Arts program at Oscar Romero nurtures and promotes inventiveness and creativity in a fun and challenging environment.  Students are engaged in stimulating activities where they can explore a wide range of media, materials and equipment whilst developing a range of skills, techniques and processes. Health and Physical Education

The Physical Education (PE) program focuses on developing fundamental movement skills, such as running, jumping, throwing, and catching, to build students’ physical literacy and confidence in various activities. The program includes an opportunity to represent the school in athletics, where students learn and practice track and field events, as well as interschool sports, providing opportunities for teamwork, competition, and sportsmanship. Through structured lessons and games, students enhance coordination, agility, and fitness while fostering a lifelong love for physical activity. The program not only promotes health and well-being but also teaches important values such as resilience, cooperation, and fair play.
