As the founding Principal of Oscar Romero Catholic Primary School I am very excited about the opportunities we have to work in partnership with our families to create something special focusing on “Aspiring not to have more but to be more ”.
To me this means many things, but essentially I believe that based on the experience of Oscar Romero and God’s love for his people, our vision must be to instill in our children the belief that ‘Learning brings hope’; a journey of endless possibilities.
At the very heart of the learning, will be our desire to fully flourish each student across religious, physical, cognitive, emotional and social domains, so that each learner can embrace a view of themselves and the world that leads to peace, justice and the prospering of the whole of creation.
I feel privileged to have this opportunity and thank you for entrusting your precious children into our care. I know together we can do great things.
Fran Drysdale
In early 2025, our founding principal, Fran Drysdale, finished her tenure and began a new position at MACS – The Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools. While we await the appointment of a new principal, Deputy Principals: Bridget Adams (Monday – Thursday) and Alannah Mazzei (Friday) are serving as Acting Principals.
